Are you looking into setting up a small wind turbine at home or at work, but you don’t want to break the bank? Southwest Wind’s Air-X Land Wind Turbine could be the solution. At under $1100, the Air-X delivers up to 400w of peak power making it ideal to run basic appliances such as radios, TV’s, and lights.

With its patented “smart controller”, which allows it to control the blade rotation, the Air-X is built to withstand wind conditions up to 100mph. So in high wind speeds, it will continue to produce power at a safe reduced level until the wind decreases, at which point maximum potential output will resume.

The Air-X also stands above the competition in battery charging technology. The Air-X’s charge controller monitors the battery voltage, and shuts off all current to the battery once it is fully charged. This means any size battery bank from 25 to 25,000 amp hours or higher can be charged safely. When the battery has reached its charged state, the Air-X will slow to an almost complete stop. Only when the battery has dropped below its voltage set point will it startup and resume charging.

First off I want to say I’m sorry I’ve not posted in a while. Preoccupied with gazillion things it seems. Suffice to say I’m back with a nugget of significant value for you. The Green Solar Mall site is comprised of four different stores that specialize in energy conservative products and technologies. From the Neutral Existence pages I found a product that I am anxious to share with you. A real jewel indeed.

I discovered that something most of us take for granted is a seriously wasteful consumer of energy. I am talking about hot water. For the overwhelming majority of us – we rely on a 40 or more gallon container that is kept hot using either gas or electricity 24×7. The fact that none of us actually require hot water 24×7 is noteworthy here – from an efficiency viewpoint.

A fixed size container of water takes some serious amount of energy to first heat up, and then to subsequently keep hot thereafter. The fact that it’s fixed in size also creates an inherent limit to how much hot water you can consume in a given period of time. If you’ve ever run out whilst taking a shower in the dead of winter – you will know all too well what I am talking about.

It you live in a sunny year round environment then the absolute best water heater is a solar model. In cases where you have overcast seasons this will not provide you the hottest of water in the dead of winter – enter the electric tank-less models. The Titan SCR2 Tank-less Water Heater is a splendid example of an incredibly efficient alternative. So much so, that one cannot help but wonder why this is not in widespread use as a quick and easy alternative to replacing conventional tank type water heaters.

Consider this list of benefits to a conventional hot water heater.
* Enjoy endless showers
* Never run out of hot water
* Save up to 60% on water heating costs
* Compact design, reclaim your space
* Space age NASA technology
* Environmentally friendly
* Reliable 10-Year warranty
* Quality made in the USA
* Industrial grade performance

As impressive as these credentials are – the best feature is not even mentioned. I am talking about the product price. When was the last time you priced a conventional tank water heater? They are several hundred dollars and installed often run over a thousand dollars. Compare that to the price of the Titan SCR2 Tank-less Water Heater – which is less than $300. Couple that with the 5 star ranking and we have a winner here.

Here’s the link you might want to bookmark or give to a friend should they find themselves with a failed tank type heater. All tank type heaters fail – and often with collateral water damage resulting. Its half the acquisition cost and saves on average 60% on energy consumed during operation. What else could you ask for?

Are all of you as tired of these ‘feel good’ oil company commercials as I am, now airing on most television channels? You know the ones I’m talking about. Where they’re essentially asking to tear up Alaska, or ‘safe’ fracking in order to get to ‘trapped’ energy in the form of oil sands or natural gas saturated limestone, or whatever.

It’s not enough their business model is slowly poisoning all of us and they’re fleecing the economically depraved among us shamelessly. Must they pat themselves on the back endlessly with their enormous advertising budgets too? Notice how they’re not really trying to sell you anything other than a generic message along the lines of ‘hey, we’re nice guys, really?’ Just because your faucet water can be set on fire right out of the tap doesn’t mean we don’t frack safely or anything. Or, ‘just because your southern gulf communities were decimated by some short-sighted effort to produce even more profits than the current unprecedented levels doesn’t mean we don’t care?’

A better energy solution is at hand. Go get yourself an electric car and equip your home with solar and wind energy alternative before it’s too late. They really don’t need any more of your money – they just want to maintain their status quo indefinitely, or until they can move you to ‘their’ new energy models.

I welcome your thoughts..

It gives me great pleasure to announce a recent addition to Green Solar Mall – that should interest all potential brick and mortar businesses that may be leaning indecisively on renewable energy.

Most businesses consider with great caution incurring new infrastructure expense – ever more so in the current economic times. Even with a solid return on investment and business case it can be difficult to acquire conventional financing too. To provide a viable option for business that find themselves in that position we have partnered with King Merchant Services.

King Merchant Services offers a unique way for small to medium size businesses to use a unique financing opportunity where conventional business loans fail. This is provided by King Merchant Services by combining two key aspects of all businesses financing.

First they work towards reviewing your current merchant bank agreement with the intent to reduce those pesky bank card fees that never seem to go down – even after the economy crumbles and interest rates fall to their lowest levels in years. This is an often overlooked way to save on operating costs most businesses fail to periodically review.

Secondly, King Merchant Services offers easy access to unconventional financing that is far more flexible and obtainable when compared to conventional bank loans. Banks continue to be reluctant to open common sense business loans even though it’s a vital component of renewing our economy. A cash advance type of funding option is the perfect type of vehicle for business remodels, inventory investments, a big marketing push, or even better yet – a renewable energy improvement to the business operations.

Doing smart things with low cost easy to obtain financing is a dream come true for small businesses looking for ways to have a significant impact on their monthly operating expenses. Even better yet, King Merchant Services is also committed to the green movement and donates a portion of its proceeds to green projects.

Taken all together converting a conventionally powered business to a grid tie solar powered system may even be accomplished at no additional costs – especially if the business is paying credit card rates common from just a few years ago. Recognizing both a long term savings opportunity and to utilize those savings short-term to further reduce long term overhead expense of conventional power is just plain smart business planning.

One thing is for sure. Small to medium size business need to reinvigorate themselves in the current economy. If they can do this while simultaneously stimulating a future facing industry like renewable power, is there any viable reason not to?

King Merchant Services is a full service credit/debit processing solution. It is a licensed agent of JST Merchant Services and can provide the full range of merchant accounts for any type of business. They can lease or sell processing equipment, offer unique fast track financing with no application fees, late fees, or personal guarantees required, and a poor credit history is ok.

State and Federal governmental offices should install solar power equipment in all taxpayer owned facilities. We need to stimulate new and better industries that are future oriented that are worthy of our efforts and resources.

I heard the other day an excellent suggestion for improving our economy. State and Federal governmental offices should install solar power equipment in all taxpayer owned facilities. At first I thought it might be too aggressive. The more I think about it however the less I feel that way. Here’s why.

- What is the useful life of a governmental building? Is there any question about achieving a solid ROI on such an endeavor?

- It would stimulate a domestic fledgling industry that is a stated long term objective – that of eliminating our dependency on burning fossil fuels for energy to demonstrate our ecological commitment to our descendants.

- It would employ thousands of people across the country in careers involved in sales, installation, and maintenance and support of solar energy resources.

- It would establish an operational model for both small and large businesses throughout the country. Government is after all the biggest consumer of goods and services in the world.

- It an excellent way to spend taxpayer dollars for long term benefits to our children and our country. It sets an example for both individuals and industry for what it takes to be good citizens and custodians for our future wellbeing.

When I hear of the reluctance to do away with multi-billion dollar incentives for the oil and gas industries, who are reaping unprecedented profits in our current economy, it just makes me crazy. Why wouldn’t those billions of dollars be better spent on expanding our reliance on renewables? What am I missing?

We bailed out the banking industry to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars, a significant contributor to the economic malaise now affecting the entire world economy. We need to stimulate new and better industries that are future oriented that are worthy of our efforts and resources. Hey, maybe we should start there instead. All those banks we bailed out should be made to retrofit their massive skyscrapers with renewable power – or at least fund some minimum percent of their investments towards projects and companies that actively pursue such things.

Perhaps we should establish eco-incentives for businesses that accelerate their ROIs for such projects. That’s the thing about good ideas. There is always a way to make them happen.

I saw a news headline the other day, well a few weeks ago now, that stated we had reached 1,268 record high temperatures in a single day – in cities all across the north American continent. There was a national map with red dots at all the places where record high temperatures had been recorded. The entire nation was polka dots. What does that tell you?

Maybe we’d be dying now if we were dinosaurs, eh? Global warming is just a theory? Don’t theories start getting accepted as facts when they have such tangible evidence? All that aside – there is some good news to derive from this phenomenon regardless of how you feel about global warming. We had an unprecedented opportunity to gather solar energy this year! If this is the trend, and many believe so, this is a very blatant call for getting both your home and your business on a solar grid tie system now!

This isn’t just one oddball unusually warm day we’re talking about. It is global trend that is going to inexorably drive you into the financial arms of the big energy producers. What would a 50% or 60% or even 90% reduction in your homes energy bill do to your budget? Whatever that amount is – it’s destined to go higher tomorrow, and the day after that, and on and on forever. How is the economy in your neck of the woods? It’s pretty bad all over from what I can see.

For homeowners that are dug in and still have a job – using some of that hard earned home equity to drive down your monthly expenses and increase your homes value ought to look pretty good. I have heard economists submit theories that all of us are going to need to adjust our lifestyles to reflect the economic realities of lower incomes, and the deterioration of middle class incomes. I think it’s time to do something about it – Congress and the worlds governments appear completely stymied at this point.

If you live in North America go here to get a free ebook on all the various incentives and tax breaks in your particular part of the country. Folks, I believe it is time to move on this.

If you are in the enviable position of building a new home here is an important item you should discuss with your builder right up front. Specifically you should ask about your various solar options. Having your home equipped with renewable power is a feature that will increase its value now and well into the future. Trust me on that.

Of all the many things you might consider incorporating into a new home, few will enhance the long term value of it more so than equipping it with grid tied solar power. Why is that? It is because the cost of electricity is increasing over time. Yes the value of it just keeps trending upward.

Today’s solar equipment has a useful life of approximately 25 years, so by the time things should require replacement you can reasonably expect the costs to be substantially less. It’s not prohibitively expensive now for that matter. Solar power technology has improved such that it is pretty much linearly scalable. That just means the cost is directly commensurate with how large the home is.

You also have the latitude to target the degree of your homes dependency on solar. For example you can target 25% or 50% or whatever is in the budget for the usage now and extend that later. That’s another nice element to the technology. Most packages have a smooth upgrade path too. Even in smaller installations it’s a smart decision because that power is what the home’s peak power will be reduced by when utilization is high – when the utility rates are at their highest.

Almost all serious home solar systems are grid tie configurations, which is the type that allows both types of power. Conventional power from the utility company when needed is available – but you also have the added benefits of providing the utility your excess power when your home doesn’t need it. This is the essence of the turn your meter backwards campaign sweeping the country. Go here for a free eBook on the incentives in your area of the country.

There are myriad other solar possibilities a new home should embrace in addition to a grid tie system. For example, there are solar powered water heaters, yard lights, utility lights, fountains and more. Additionally there are inline electrical devices that are designed to optimize the actual power distribution throughout your home – producing consumption savings from 8 to 25 percent typically. It also provides a home – wide surge protection. Here’s a link to an assortment of such a devices.

If the world would just focus on energy in all aspects of everyday life, we’ll be much better off – and less financially obligated to the utility companies. Home builders have huge advantages over the rest of us in that they can incorporate the costs into the base home construction and longer term finance strategy – achieving the greatest benefits.

Interested in boosting your pocket book & the economy too? Take your business to a renewable energy solution to do both. There are numerous incentives to take advantage of that do have expiry periods to avoid.

Listen up. You owe it to yourself and your business profitability to see for yourself what your local and federal incentives are for converting to solar, wind, or both. The tax incentives are enormous in certain areas and the big business position is basically silent? Why is that?

Big business rules Washington these days – and its only going to get worse. Its time to get off the fence before they make it impossible to do so. Take advantage of going to renewable energy – in places its actually free when you factor in the incentives available.

Here’s a free link that has the information top to bottom on all it takes including all the incentives nationwide. What would your business profitability look like without an electric bill each month?

Here’s an audio link to listen a short to-the-point message you should hear.

There’s another piece to this that’s worth mentioning too – the reluctance of local banks to lend money to small business in the current economy. I’ve come across an energetic and enthusiastic organization that has a solid approach to making the funding available to you in a creative and surprisingly easy way. It involves lowering your merchant rate on credit cards and avoiding a conventional business loan altogether. If a business loan is your reason for hesitating – visit the site or give them a call at 1-866-706-4763 to discuss your options. Its free to check into.. and your long term savings are substantial – particularly if your business is energy intensive.

Given the federal and state incentives now available and the availability of creative financing opportunities – you really have no excuse. You’ll wish you had eventually – I guarantee it.

The name has changed but the results have not. Not quite as fancy a name is ok with me as long as it continues to be a solid home energy saver for the homeowners.

The advantages of this device are easy to quantify. Just do the math. From 8 – 25 % of your current electric bill is the range of savings you’ll experience. So, if you have a $300/month utility bill before the install, you can expect a bill ranging from $226 to $276 afterwards. At a cost of $300, you’re looking at a payback period of between four and twelve months. From there on it’s pure savings for you, with a 20 years design life to look forward to.

For commercial customers the KVAR PU3200 benefits include.. (3-phase 200 amp)

Lower Electricity Bills by up to 25% or more

Reduces Electricity Required by Inductive Loads (motors)

Enhances Capacity of Existing Electrical System

Eliminates Harmful Power Surges

Protects Appliances and Sensitive Electronic Equipment

Reduces Harmful Effects caused by Electrical Noise

Power Factor Optimization

For higher capacities there is the KVAR PU3400 for 3 phase 400 amp loads.
